DPS Bokaro Honors Teachers’ Day with Enthusiastic Celebrations & Tribute

Bokaro: DPS Bokaro marked Teachers’ Day with vibrant festivities on Thursday, honoring the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The event was a grand celebration of the contributions of educators, featuring an array of colorful performances and heartfelt tributes.

The celebration began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and floral tributes by Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar, who paid respects to Dr. Radhakrishnan, the esteemed philosopher and former President of India for whom the day is named. Students expressed their appreciation by presenting bouquets and handcrafted greeting cards to Dr. Gangwar.

The students’ cultural program dazzled the audience with a diverse range of performances. Highlights included an orchestra performance featuring a seamless medley of guitar, violin, keyboard, and drums. A group dance vividly depicted the story of Dronacharya and Eklavya, illustrating the deep respect for teachers. The students also performed a melodious group song, “Guruvar Tumhen Koti Naman…”. In a unique twist, Class XII students assumed the roles of their teachers, delivering lessons in a playful and engaging manner.

In the Primary Wing, a special assembly was conducted where young students demonstrated their affection for their teachers through a touching welcome song, an enchanting fashion show by Pre-nursery students, and a lively dance performance by Class V students.

In his address, Principal Dr. Gangwar emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in nation-building. He encouraged students to respect and honor their teachers, describing them as the foundation of a nation’s future and essential in guiding young leaders toward excellence.

The day’s festivities also included a special cultural program at Kalidas Kala Bhawan, where teachers showcased their talents through singing, dancing, fashion shows, and antakshari. Inspirational messages from B.K. Chaturvedi, Chairman of the DPS Society, and V.K. Shunglu, Vice Chairman, were shared with attendees, further highlighting the significance of Teachers’ Day.
