Will release Indian wing commander tomorrow : Imran Khan

GNS/Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken a major decision and has said in Pakistan’s Parliament that as a peace gesture we are going to release India’s wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman on Friday, 1st March 2019. But this step of Pakistan should be considered as Pakistan’s weakness. It is for harmony between the two nations.
Aljazeera reported, Khan told a joint sitting of parliament in the capital, Islamabad that “We have an Indian pilot. As a peace gesture, we will release him tomorrow.”
Khan also said he had unsuccessfully tried to make telephone contact with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on Wednesday night. I will speak to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as I want to de-escalate prevailing tension between the two countries, Khan said.
“Don’t take this any further, Pakistan will be forced to retaliate,” he added. I hope the international community will play its part to ensure the situation does not escalate beyond this,” Khan said.
On Wednesday morning A Pakistani fighter jet that violated Indian air space was shot down in retaliatory fire by IAF. In this engagement, India lost one MiG-21 and the pilot Abhinandan was missing in action, captured by Pakistan.
