There are a large number of medicines available in homoeopathy for the successful and authenticate treatment of bronchitis, cough, cold, flu including others depending upon the symptoms and disorders of the patients, said Dr Raj Kumar, BAMS and medical practitioner at Bokaro.

“Homoeopathy can be extremely effective in treating chronic and long-term health problems, it also found that constitutional medicines not only cure the disease but also strengthen the body’s immune system and thus prevent future occurrences of the disease,” he said.

As per my opinion, homoeopathy practitioners should give a chance to treat COVID-19 patients when allopathic doctors across the globe are struggling hard doing R&D to find the medicine for Coronavirus infection, said Dr Raj Kumar.

There are a number of good and vast knowledgeable homeopathic practitioners who may give their valuable contribution in term of treatment of COVID-19, but, they are feared (due to legal reasons) over the global pandemic issue, said an expert on anonymity.

“COVID-19 patients (usually found symptoms of cough, fever, difficulty breathing or lungs congestion) can be cured within 72 hours after taking a combination of three-four homoeopathy medicines till three days (on every 4 hours),” he added.

As Novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a large family of viruses that causes illnesses ranging from common cold to acute respiratory syndromes, said Dr Vandana.

There is no need to stop other ongoing treatments as well as medicines during taking the homoeopathy medicines it can also be used along with Allopathic medicines.

“The patients on ventilators can also be treated. This medicine (combination) can be used by applying (rubbing) on his palm and feet (every 2 hours) which can give a good result in next 12 hours,” she added.

I want to assure that the combinations of homoeopathy medicines including Thuja, Medrohinum, Influlzinum, Variolinum, Streptomycin and Parogenum (of 200 in strength or power) can cure COVID-19 patients, said Dr Vandana.

Recently the AYUSH ministry issued a health advisory and recommended that homeopathic and Unani medicines could be effective in the prevention of novel coronavirus (nCoV) infections, she said.

The advisory was issued following a meeting on Tuesday of the scientific advisory board of the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) under the Ministry of AYUSH to discuss ways and means for the prevention of the nCoV infection through homoeopathy, the ministry said in a statement.

It has recommended that homoeopathic medicine Arsenicum Album 30 could be taken empty stomach daily for three days as a prophylactic medicine against the infection.

The dose should be repeated after one month by following the same schedule in case the Coronavirus infection prevails in the community, the advisory said, adding that the same has also been advised for prevention of influenza-like illness.

The advisory further suggests general hygienic measures for prevention of air-borne infections such as maintaining personal hygiene, washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands, and avoiding close contact with people who are sick.

The ministry has advised covering face while coughing or sneezing and preferably using an N95 mask while travelling or working in public places to avoid droplet transmissions.

“If you suspect Corona Viral infection, wear a mask and contact your nearest the hospital immediately,” the advisory said.

It also recommended prophylactic measures or immunomodulatory drugs as per Ayurvedic practices and taking measures to strengthen the immune system through a healthy diet and lifestyle practices.
