ESL Archery Academy Students Wins at the State Level Tournament

Bokaro: The students of Vedanta ESL Archery Academy have won the State Level Tournament after qualifying for the District Archery Championship. A total of 450 archers from across the state participated in the Jharkhand State Level Archery Tournament held at Chaibasa.

An award ceremony was also held where the winners were conferred Gold and Bronze medals.

Speaking on the momentous occasion, Pankaj Malhan, CEO, ESL Steel Ltd said, “My heartiest congratulations to the winners who gave their best shot at the game of archery, which requires precision and skill. I wish them all the best for future championships and hope that this encourages more students to come out and display their talent for the world to see.”

Joint Secretary of Jharkhand Archery Association, Harendra Singh added, “ESL has done a lot of work to train these kids in archery. They have been trained for four months and there is a lot of discipline in their training. The coaches have also put in a lot of hard work to groom these players. The facilities in the academy is very good and of national standards. The environment is very good here for developing national and international archers from this academy.”

Earlier this month, ESL Steel Limited organised the district-level archery tournament in association with the Bokaro District Archery Association, at its Archery Grounds.

ESL has set up an Archery Academy in Siyaljori to support and promote the sport in Jharkhand, which has traditionally been involved in the field of archery and has produced some of the finest talents in the field. Today, the state-of-the-art academy, which is fully equipped with facilities such as accommodation, dining, gym, archery kits, uniforms and medical facility, trains individuals under experts from the field. With this, the kids and youth in Bokaro have access to the finest academy in their vicinity to polish their archery skills and shine bright in the future.
