WHO approves Johnson & Johnson’s Corona Vaccine for emergency use

Geneva: The World Health Organization (WHO) has approved the emergency use of Corona vaccine manufactured by Johnson & Johnson’s— a US pharmaceutical company. This is a single-dose vaccine.

“With the approval of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine, we are one step closer to controlling the epidemic,” said Tedros Adenham Grabreyes WHO chief.

We are inching much closer to control this virus after every New, Safe, and Effective vaccine against Coronavirus, he said.

Under the international Covx campaign this single-dose vaccine will now be sent to poor countries. Priority will be given to those countries where the Corona vaccine has not yet been introduced under this campaign, he said.

According to the WHO, now Johnson & Johnson’s Corona vaccine has been approved for emergency use. During the trials, this vaccine exhibits a much sharper effect than other vaccines till introduced across the world.

The special feature of this vaccine is that it is a single-dose vaccine while the other vaccines require two shots.
