BSF arrests a Chinese man while entering India from Bangladesh illegally

RNS: A Chinese man was arrested by the Border Security Force (BSF) at the border post in Milik Sultanpur of Malda district in West Bengal on the India-Bangladesh border while he was trying to enter India illegally.

Han Junwei, a Chinese national had illegally entered India from the Bangladesh side of the border, said an official.

Cops recovered a Chinese passport, laptop, two iPhones, a Bangladeshi SIM, an Indian SIM, and two Chinese SIM cards, pen drives, money transaction machines, US dollars, Bangladeshi Taka, and Indian rupee from his possession, said a media post.

Junwei is from the Hubei province of China. During interrogation, he said that his alleged business partner was arrested by the Anti-terrorist squad of the UP police.

Further details about the perpetrator are being verified, said a BSF official before the media. On June 2nd Junwei rushed to Bangladesh from China and stayed with a friend in Dhaka. From there he came into the district of Chapainawabganj, from where he was trying to intrude into India when BSF arrested him on Friday, said the official.
