Over 17 L people vaccinated in ‘Vedanta Covid Care Field Hospital’ at Bokaro

RNS I Bokaro: Vedanta ESL, in collaboration with the district administration, has so far vaccinated more than 170000 people so far at the Covid Field Hospital at Library Ground, Sector 5 in Bokaro Steel City in order to reduce the rising mortality rate due to epidemics like COVID-19.

People from different districts are also regularly coming to vaccinated here at the Covid Care Field Hospital, informed a Public Relations official of ESL.

PN Singh, MP Dhanbad said, “I would like to thank ESL Steel Limited for this humanitarian work. While the entire state is battling the menace of Covid, the same ESL is making people safe by doing this holy work. I would like to thank Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal and I would like to thank CEO NL Vhatte for this noble cause and promise to extend all possible help from the government’s side.

In June this year Chief Minister Hemant Soren had virtual inauguration of this 100 beds air-conditioned Covid Hospital of ESL Steel in Chas, Bokaro. Apart from vaccination, all the facilities including all necessary medical services like ICU beds, oxygen cylinders are available in the hospital. Simultaneously, the most experienced and trusted doctors of the district are keeping a close watch on this process of vaccination in the hospital.

Speaking on the occasion Vhatte, CEO, ESL, said, I appreciate the contribution made by the district administration/state authorities and the medical team to make the ongoing vaccination process at Vedanta COVID Care Field Hospital a success.

“I promise to continue the efforts and continue to provide support to the state and local administration. I also thank Chairman Anil Agarwal, who has been an inspiration to the entire Vedanta family,” he added.
