RNS: Sameern Dutta, took over the charge as new Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). Earlier he was working as Director (Finance) as well as Director (Finance), BCCL in the Corporate Office of Coal India before taking over as CMD of BCCL.
Throughout his career, Datta has held numerous roles in the coal sector, gaining extensive knowledge in corporate accounting, taxation, MIS, and cost and budgeting.
Dutta is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He joined the coal industry in August 1988 at Bharat Coking Coal Limited, Dhanbad and then shifted to Coal India Limited, Kolkata and thereafter served in various departments.
