RNS I Bokaro: Chandrapura Thermal Power Station (CTPS) a unit of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) ranked fourth position among the top 10 Central Sector Thermal Power Plants in July this year by running at 93 per cent Plant Load Factor (PLF). This unit has achieved a record since the commencement of DVC by operating at 99 per cent Plant Load Factor (PLF) in April 2022, informed a Public Relation Official of CTPS.
“In the previous fiscal year, it ranked ninth among the top ten thermal power plants in the country’s central region,” he added.
CTPS with 500 MW capacities has set many records. A number of Trade Union officials and local public representatives, as well as the Chief Engineer of the plant and project head Ajay Kumar Dutta and the Chief Engineer O&M Sunil Kumar Pandey, as well as other senior officers and employees, have congratulated the people engaged in the operation of CTPS and expressed their happiness.
