Police conduct search at ‘The Wire’ editors’ houses

RNS: The Delhi Police has conducted searches at the houses of the editors of the news website, “The Wire”. The police confiscated their phones and laptops, sources said.

The crime branch of Delhi Police is conducting searches at the residences of The Wire founder Siddharth Varadarajan and founding Editor MK Venu.

The searches were conducted after an FIR was registered by BJP IT cell Chief Amit Malviya. In the FIR he alleged that fake documents were shown in the news to malign his reputation.

“No arrests have been done yet into the matter, said Delhi Police.
