Admissions open for MSc. in Biomedical Engineering at BGU, Israel

Israel: Admissions are now open for the MSc. Program in Biomedical Engineering at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), Israel. The aim of the M.Sc. program is to train engineers to be able to conduct lead, research and develop engineering equipment’s in hospitals.

Students graduating with an M.Sc. degree gain broad basic knowledge, as well as specific skills in areas that are essential for a biomedical engineer.

The MSc program is a 2-year (4 semesters) thesis (research) track program and is taught completely in English. The fields of specialization in Biomedical Engineering M.Sc. programs include extensive training in both the medical and engineering fields. The responsibility of training the biomedical engineers in BGU is done by the Faculties of Health Sciences and Engineering.

Applications are now being accepted for spring 2023 and the tuition fee for the MSc program is approximately $5,000 (USD) per year.

Eligibility is a B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering or in closely related fields from an accredited institution, at a minimum GPA of 80/100; a TOEFL score of at least 85/120 or the equivalent score in an internationally recognized English proficiency exam is required. The English proficiency requirement is waived for applicants who received their B.Sc. degree in a program taught in English; GRE is recommended but not required;

Outstanding students are eligible for scholarships which can cover tuition fees and provide living expenses. Faculty may be able to provide additional financial support through their research grants, determined on an individual basis.
