Northwest India will see dense to very intense fog for 4-5 days: IMD

RNS: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that northwest India would likely see conditions ranging from dense to very severe fog over the next four to five days. Around 26 trains are running late due to inclement weather presently, informed an official.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh will be experiencing severe to very dense fog. Over two dozen trains in the Northern Railway zone are running behind schedule due to the fog.

Severe cold wave conditions is likely to witness in many pockets over Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi. The minimum temperatures will be in the range of 1 to 5°C in many parts of the plains of northwest India and in isolated pockets over adjoining areas of north Madhya Pradesh, it said.
