Five Bokaro students make their mark for Nationals in VVM

RNS: Exhibiting their scientific acumen, 5 DPS Bokaro students were among the 12 from the state of Jharkhand, to qualify for the National Level Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2022- jointly organized by Vijnana Bharati, NCERT and Vigyan Prasar.

The students of DPS Bokaro who have made it to the nationals of VVM are Class VIII – Nirwan, State Rank I, Kunal Anand State Rank II. Swapnil Snigdh (Class X) secured State Rank 1 while Abhinav Abhi got State Rank II and Arush Banerjee secured State Rank 1. Ishita Ghosh (Class XI) bagged State Rank II in the exam.

The other students of the state who made it to the finals are Yash Raj Kumar, Saif Ali Ahmad, Purnim Raj and Abhishek Mehta (DAV Hazaribagh), Ashish Ranjan  (DAV Bariyatu, Ranchi), Swati Kumari (DAV Dhanbad)  and Vidya Kumari  (Holy Cross  Hazaribagh).

The top two winners at the State Level thus qualified for Nationals and have been awarded a cash prize, trophy, certificate and a medal each. Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national programme with the objective to identify keen knowledge seekers in Science and then nurturing them for a higher level of science education. VVM examination includes Written Test, Observational Analysis of Video Clips, Situation, Problem Solving and Hands-on Activities.

Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro expressed his happiness and said that such competitions cultivate scientific habits in students and develop their capability to engage in scientific inquiry which eventually makes them self – reliant. He added that our students have once again exhibited fair participation and sheer dedication that brought laurels.
