RNS: Vote counting for the Karnataka Assembly elections is already underway at 36 locations across the state amidst tight security.
To form the government in Karnataka’s 224 assembly seats, a party must win 113 seats.
As per the latest trend, the Congress Party is leading on 119 seats, while the BJP has on 75 seats. Janata Dal Secular (JDS) is ahead on 23 seats, while others are on 7 seats.
Meanwhile, Congress is leading in 119 seats, which is more than the figure required to form the government.
If the Congress or other party fails to put together the necessary numbers, the Janata Dal Secular, which is ahead in 30 seats, might become the kingmaker.
