CISF Conducts Mock Drill on Fire Prevention and Safety at DPS Bokaro

Bokaro: In a proactive move towards enhancing fire safety awareness, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) undertook a comprehensive two-day training session at DPS Bokaro, aimed at educating students and staff on effective fire prevention and emergency response strategies.

The session, which concluded on Wednesday, commenced with an address by Deputy Commandant and Fire Officer Manoj Chauhan on the diverse causes of fires, types of fire incidents, and appropriate protocols for swift containment and evacuation. Emphasizing the critical importance of accurate communication with fire services during emergencies, Chauhan underscored the role of precise location information in optimizing rescue efforts.

On the subsequent day, Fire Inspector P.K. Mishra led sessions focusing on fundamental firefighting techniques and safe evacuation procedures. Mishra’s practical demonstrations and theoretical insights provided attendees with essential skills and knowledge crucial for managing fire incidents effectively.

Highlighting the practical application of the training, a mock drill was conducted simulating a fire emergency scenario. Students actively participated in the drill, gaining hands-on experience in rescue operations and evacuation procedures under simulated crisis conditions.

Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar acknowledged the significance of fostering a culture of fire safety within educational institutions. He commended the CISF BSL Unit for their proactive efforts in imparting critical training on fire safety measures and first aid firefighting techniques. Dr. Gangwar stressed that such initiatives are pivotal in establishing robust fire safety protocols that safeguard lives and property.

The initiative by CISF at DPS Bokaro not only aimed at enhancing preparedness but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards fire safety among students and staff, ensuring a safer environment for all.
