Lucknow: The bad days of stone pelters have begun during the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal. The Yogi government has started putting up posters of the stone pelters at crossroads and public places, offering rewards to those who help in capturing them.
During the second phase of the survey, which was carried out after the claim that there was a temple in Jama Masjid, posters of 250 accused involved in spreading violence were issued by the police. These posters are being circulated on social media and also being pasted in the city and other public places.
Those who provide information leading to their identification will be rewarded, and their names will be kept confidential.
Additionally, more than a dozen teams have been formed to arrest the rioters who fled after the unrest, and these teams have been sent to nearby areas, including Delhi and Uttarakhand. The data of the 27 people who have already been sent to jail is also being examined.
According to Sambhal Police Superintendent Krishna Kumar Vishnoi, strict action is being prepared against those responsible for the violence during the survey at Jama Masjid.
Charges such as rioting, along with actions under the National Security Act (NSA), will be filed against them. Most of the individuals involved in stone pelting, arson, and firing have been captured by drone cameras and CCTV cameras outside shops.
The footage has already been retrieved, and their posters have been prepared. Anyone who provides information about them will be rewarded by the police.
Some women were also captured on camera while pelting stones, and action will also be taken against them.
