Dr. Anil Jharotia Bags Best Practicing Librarian Award

Faridabad: Dr. Anil Kumar Jharotia was conferred with the prestigious Best Practicing Librarian Award at the International Conference on Innovation and Digital Transformation in Academic Libraries (ICIDTAL), held at the Dr. O.P. Bhalla Central Library, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS).

Organized in collaboration with key institutions including the Delhi Library Association (DLA), Haryana Library Association (HLA), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET), and the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), the two-day international conference focused on the evolving role of academic libraries in the digital era. Key topics included digital resource management, AI integration in libraries, and user-centric service models.

Dr. Jharotia was recognized for his exceptional service and innovative practices in the field of library and information science. The award was presented in a special ceremony by prominent dignitaries including Dr. Ajay Pratap Singh, Director General of Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation (RRRLF), Prof. Mazhar Asif, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof. Naresh Grover, Pro Vice Chancellor of MRIIRS, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, University Librarian at MRIIRS, and Dr. Rupesh Gaur, President of HLA.

The event served as a platform for librarians, researchers, and academic leaders to share insights on digital innovation in library services and promote collaboration in the rapidly transforming information landscape.
