6-Day Gyan-Yagna on Ayodhya Kand Begins at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro

News Desk: A spiritually enriching six-day Gyan-Yagna commenced at Chinmaya Vidyalaya’s Tapovan Auditorium under the auspices of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro. The discourse is being led by the revered Senior Acharya, Swami Advaitananda Saraswati, who is presenting a scientific and insightful interpretation of the Ayodhya Kand—a section of the Ramcharitmanas that holds deep relevance for contemporary life, society, and the nation.

Traditional Welcome with Vedic Grace

All dignitaries were ceremonially received with Tilak Mishri, while Swami Advaitananda Saraswati was accorded a grand welcome with Purna Kumbh Darshan and the chanting of Vedic mantras. Students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya recited the Purushottam Yoga from the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, adding a devotional charm to the occasion. Floral tributes were offered to all esteemed guests.

Inauguration in Traditional Style

The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, B.K. Tiwari, Director-in-Charge of Bokaro Steel Plant, along with Rajshree Banerjee, Executive Director (HR), Bokaro Steel Plant. The ceremonial lamp-lighting marked the beginning of the Gyan-Yagna. Harihar Raut, Secretary of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro, extended a warm welcome to all attendees.

In his keynote address, Tiwari emphasized the cultural and moral significance of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, noting that Ayodhya Kand provides timeless lessons in decision-making, sacrifice, and duty. “Kaikeyi, despite loving Ram more than even her own son Bharat, chose the painful path of duty—a decision that defined Ram’s journey of idealism,” he remarked. “Her action, though misunderstood, reflects the essence of renunciation and dharma.”

Ayodhya Kand: A Living Lesson in Sacrifice and Duty

Swami Advaitananda Saraswati opened his discourse with invocations to Lord Ganesha and the Guru tradition. He described Ayodhya Kand as the ultimate embodiment of sacrifice, love, and selfless duty. He reflected on Lord Ram’s exile, Sita’s unwavering devotion, Lakshman’s renunciation of palace comforts, and Bharat’s unmatched loyalty—each character reflecting values critical in today’s age of materialism and ego.

“In a world filled with greed, jealousy, and selfishness, Ayodhya Kand stands as a beacon of ideal conduct and devotion,” said Swami Ji. “It teaches us the true meaning of sacrifice, family values, and dharma.”

Guests Honored with Tokens of Reverence

Towards the close of the inaugural ceremony, Swami Advaitananda Saraswati honored Chief Guest BK Tiwari, Anita Tiwari, and Special Guest Rajashree Banerjee with mementoes presented in the traditional spiritual spirit of the Chinmaya Mission.

The six-day discourse is expected to draw large crowds from Bokaro and surrounding areas as seekers engage with ancient wisdom through a modern lens.
