Later today, PM Modi and President Christodoulides will co-chair a business roundtable with leading entrepreneurs from both countries, aimed at boosting bilateral trade, investment, and technological cooperation.
On Sunday, the two leaders will hold formal bilateral talks in Nicosia, focusing on trade, education, digital collaboration, and regional security. Strategic discussions will also cover broader global matters, including the India-EU partnership and the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).
One of the symbolic highlights of the visit will be a joint tour of Nicosia Town Hall and the United Nations ceasefire line, a tribute to India’s longstanding role in UN peacekeeping operations in Cyprus.
The visit will conclude with an official lunch hosted at the Presidential Palace, following which PM Modi will depart for Canada to attend the G7 Summit.
Diplomatic observers view this visit as a pivotal moment in Indo-Cypriot relations, expected to open new doors of strategic, cultural, and economic collaboration between the two democracies.
