‘Tech Bee’: Jharkhand Govt., HCL Join Hands for Youth Skill Development

Ranchi: In a major initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Jharkhand, the State’s School Education and Literacy Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HCL Technologies to implement the ‘Tech Bee’ program—an early career training initiative designed to equip Class 12 graduates with skills for the Information Technology (IT) sector.

The MoU was officially signed in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Secretariat, marking a strategic step towards integrating technical training with job placement and higher education opportunities.

The ‘Tech Bee’ program, led by HCL Technologies, will offer specialized training to students who have completed their Class 12 education, enabling them to begin professional careers in IT while simultaneously pursuing further studies. The initiative is expected to bridge the gap between school education and industry-ready skill development.

CM Hemant Soren: “A Gateway to a Brighter Future”

Chief Minister Hemant Soren lauded the partnership as a significant stride in his government’s mission to create concrete career pathways for the state’s youth.

“Our government is committed to ensuring that young people in Jharkhand are equipped to build strong futures. The placement-linked ‘Tech Bee’ program is a commendable initiative that will help students transform their ambitions into tangible careers in the IT sector,” he said.

He emphasized the importance of such collaborations and reiterated the government’s full support to institutions offering skill development, technical education, and employment-oriented programs.

“Jharkhand’s youth are full of talent—they only need the right direction and support,” the Chief Minister said.

Highlighting the state’s focus on inclusive education, CM Soren also encouraged students to benefit from the Guruji Credit Card Scheme, which offers educational loans of up to ₹15 lakh without collateral.

“Whether your dream is engineering, management, or any professional course, financial limitations should not stop you. The state will stand with you at every step,” he assured.

CM Soren called on students to engage wholeheartedly with the ‘Tech Bee’ program and urged schools to spread awareness about the opportunity.

“This program gives students a rare chance to seamlessly transition from school to a stable and successful career,” he added.

Besides others several key officials, including School Education and Literacy Minister Ramdas Soren, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, School Education Secretary Umashankar Singh, Jharkhand Education Project Council Director Shashi Ranjan, and HCL Technologies Senior Vice President Subbaraman Balasubramanian were present there.
