Bokaro: A one-day CBSE teacher training workshop on the theme “Educating Parents on Teaching” was held at Swami Tejomayanand Auditorium, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro, aiming at the holistic professional development of educators under the 2025–26 skill enhancement initiative.

The event coincided with International Yoga Day, and Principal Suraj Sharma inaugurated the workshop while extending Yoga Day greetings. He emphasized the value of such workshops in acquainting teachers with new policies, pedagogical approaches, and skills, especially highlighting the importance of parental involvement in education.

Resource persons Kanchan Singh and Soni Kumari shared key insights on how the National Curriculum Framework 2023 and NEP 2020 promote active parental roles in a child’s educational journey. They stressed that in today’s evolving system, education is no longer limited to just teachers and students — parents are crucial stakeholders. Topics like screen time reduction, parent-teacher coordination, and the need for updated parental awareness were discussed in depth.

Teachers also engaged in interactive presentations and role-plays, making the session dynamic and insightful. The workshop was anchored by Sonali Gupta, while Headmaster Gopal Chandra Munshi delivered the vote of thanks.

The session saw the presence of Vice Principal Narmendra Kumar, Academic Supervisor Rahul Roy, and all faculty members. School Secretary Mahesh Tripathi, along with staff members Randhir Narayan, Ran Vijay Ojha, Smriti Vohra, Anjani, Rajneesh Chaudhary, and Panchanand Sharma, contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.
