Bokaro: Sixteen students from DPS Bokaro delivered an outstanding performance at the 23rd All India Tenshinkan Karate Championship held in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, securing a total of 32 medals — including 13 Gold, 12 Silver, and 7 Bronze. The championship saw participation from 12 states, with Jharkhand emerging as the overall champion.
The medals were won in both ‘Kata’ and ‘Kumite’ categories by young karatekas including Maayon Sharav, Reyanshi Chaudhary, Aarush Prakash, Bhavya Bisht, Siddhi Suman, Rishita Raj Sharma, and others.
Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar, who also chairs the Khel Karate Association of Jharkhand, congratulated the winners and lauded their efforts in bringing pride to both the school and the state. Medals and certificates were awarded in a felicitation ceremony attended by Khedu Gorai, General Secretary and Chief Coach of the Association.
