Bokaro: Delhi Public School, Chas, Bokaro played host to a truly inspiring and enriching orientation session led by internationally acclaimed educator Nadene Mackay from Wales, UK.
The interactive event, titled “Present, Past and Future: Students’ Perspective on Learning”, was specially curated for students of Classes XI and XII.
The session aimed to ignite introspection and help students reimagine their educational journeys through a global lens.
Accompanying Mackay were Martin Matthews, a veteran headteacher and leadership coach, and Oliver Mackay, a vibrant youth leader and doctoral researcher at Cardiff University, who together brought an exceptional blend of wisdom, mentorship, and youthful energy to the event.
Oliver Mackay, a former lecturer at the University of Wales, connected effortlessly with the students, urging them to reflect on how their past experiences shape their present mindset, and how today’s mindful choices can build a purposeful future.
Far beyond a routine lecture, the orientation became a thoughtful exploration of self-growth, global citizenship, and meaningful learning. Students engaged with ideas that went beyond textbooks, embracing fresh perspectives on responsibility and self-driven development.
Dr. Manisha Tiwari, Director and Principal of DPS Chas, extended her warm appreciation to the guests, stating:
“We are honoured to welcome such visionary mentors to our school. Their insights offer our students a rare opportunity for world-class exposure and inspire them to grow as responsible, aware, and confident global citizens.”
Through such events, DPS Chas continues to strengthen its mission of nurturing holistic education rooted in values, vision, and global thinking.
