39 Years of Brilliance: DPS Bokaro Honours Toppers, Showcases Talent

 

Bokaro: Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro marked its 39th Foundation Day with vibrant cultural displays, inspiring speeches, and a celebration of academic excellence, reflecting its enduring legacy of quality education and social commitment.

The grand ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a soulful performance by the school choir and a spectacular orchestra. The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Ajay Nath Jha (IAS), Deputy Commissioner of Bokaro, along with Guests of Honour Shatabdi Majumdar (IAS), Deputy Development Commissioner, and Rajnish Kumar (IFS), Divisional Forest Officer. Principals of reputed institutions and DPS alumni-turned-educators also attended, adding to the occasion’s prestige.

The cultural showcase featured impressive dance performances titled ‘Monsoon’ and ‘Celebrations’, highlighting India’s rich artistic heritage. A special assembly at the Primary Wing saw young children put up delightful performances, adding charm to the celebration.

In keeping with its motto, “Service Before Self,” the school distributed uniforms to underprivileged students of Deepansh Shiksha Kendra, reaffirming its philanthropic vision.

The prize distribution ceremony honoured over 200 students for outstanding academic and co-curricular achievements. Toppers and perfect scorers of SSE and SSCE 2025 were felicitated during the special segment ‘Medha’. The school also released the latest edition of its quarterly magazine ‘Zenith’, featuring student achievements and creative expressions.

Chief Guest praised the school’s transformative journey, calling DPS Bokaro “a synonym of quality education.” He lauded the students’ global success and urged them to carry forward the institution’s legacy with empathy and responsibility.

Guest of Honour Shatabdi Majumdar encouraged students to value the role of school and society in shaping their futures and to remain rooted in service. Rajnish Kumar, also a Guest of Honour, reminded students that true success stems from both inspiration and gratitude, especially towards their mentors.

Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar extended heartfelt congratulations to all stakeholders, especially the award-winning students. He praised the Chief Guest for his efforts in driving positive change in Bokaro and emphasized the role of education in building responsible citizens ready to lead across diverse fields.

The event was a fitting tribute to the school’s commitment to holistic development, academic brilliance, and social responsibility as it moves towards its Ruby Jubilee.
