Gaya: To bolster the Election Commission’s ongoing voter list revision campaign, the Janata Dal (United) [JDU] on Tuesday organized a large-scale voter awareness cycle rally in Gaya city. The rally, led by Mahanagar JDU President Rajkumar Prasad alias Raju Barnwal, saw participation from hundreds of party workers, senior leaders, and office bearers.
Starting from Ward No. 44, Madanpur, the rally traversed key city areas, spreading the message of electoral participation and urging citizens to enrol, update, or correct their voter details.
Raju Barnwal stated that the rally was part of a state-wide initiative launched on the directive of JDU’s top leadership to encourage democratic participation ahead of elections. “Our aim is to ensure that every eligible person, especially from poor, Dalit, backward, and extremely backward communities, is included in the voter list. No one will be left out,” he said.
Organization in-charge Arman alias Guddu ji, along with state business cell representatives, Mahanagar unit members, and numerous party cadres, participated in the campaign. The party also announced similar rallies to be held in municipal bodies and panchayats across Bihar to eliminate voter list-related confusion.
Prominent participants in the rally included Lalji Prasad, Dr. Sunil, Diwakar, Puttu, Neeraj, Subodh, Minta Devi, Anil Patel, Sanju, Gopal Prasad, Amar Chandravanshi, Chhotu, Mahendra, Arjun Ram, Manik Chand Gupta, and Bambam Chandravanshi.
