Bokaro: The poetic spirit came alive in Bokaro as Rashmipunj Sahitya Sansthan hosted a soulful Kavyanjali Kavya Sandhya on Wednesday evening in the Cooperative Colony. Organized under the guidance of poetess Karuna Kalika, the literary evening showcased a vibrant stream of poetic expression touching themes of monsoon, love, patriotism, and human emotions.
The event began with lamp lighting and floral tributes to Maa Saraswati, followed by a welcome address by Karuna Kalika. The evening was smoothly anchored by noted Patna-based poet Sushil Thakur ‘Sahil’, and presided over by poetess Kajal Bhalotia and poet-singer Arun Pathak.
The poetic lineup included stirring performances by Reena Yadav, Rinku Giri, Supriya Kumari ‘Saras’, Arfa Sameen, Komal, Ankit Upadhyay, Zahid Sufi, Jyotirmoy Dey Rana, Renuka Sinha, Dr. Neelima Prasad, Himendra Prasad, Kajal Bhalotia, and Karuna Kalika herself. The audience was particularly moved by Arun Pathak’s Maithili song and Sushil Sahil’s evocative couplets.
In his address, Sushil Sahil lauded Bokaro’s hidden literary talents and praised the event for uniting voices of poetic brilliance. “Such gatherings foster positivity and are vital to the growth of literary culture,” he said.
The evening concluded with a vote of thanks by Karuna Kalika, leaving behind echoes of verse and inspiration.
