PM Modi Highlights Employment Achievements

Gaya: In a major push to government recruitment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday handed over over 51,000 appointment letters to selected candidates across the country under the 16th edition of the ‘Rojgar Mela’. Of these, 123 youth were appointed in Gaya, Bihar. The event was held at the Auditorium-cum-Art Gallery in Gaya, where Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Bihar Minister Dr. Prem Kumar, and DDU Railway DRM Uday Singh Meena personally handed over the appointment letters.
Prime Minister Modi addressed the nationwide event via video conferencing, calling India’s youth the “biggest capital of the future”. He emphasized the role of young professionals in building a developed India, noting that this initiative will help accelerate the nation’s path to becoming the third-largest economy in the world.

In Gaya, most of the appointments—99 out of 123—were in the railway sector, while others were placed in banks, the Central Water Commission, and the postal department. A female candidate selected for the Postal Department in Mohania (Rohtas) expressed her gratitude, calling the appointment a “huge gift” from the Prime Minister.
Union Minister Manjhi hailed the initiative, stating, “Modi does what he says—today’s appointments are proof of that. These youth are tomorrow’s brand ambassadors of developed India.”
PM Modi also underlined the expansion of the electronics and defense manufacturing sectors, stating that Rs 11 lakh crore worth of electronics are now being manufactured in India. The mobile phone manufacturing sector alone now boasts 300 units, employing lakhs. He added that India is leading globally in locomotive manufacturing, with exports to multiple countries.
Highlighting the socio-economic upliftment under his government, Modi said, “25 crore people have come out of poverty, 90 crore are under welfare schemes, and employment has been generated at a large scale through infrastructure initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.”
The Rojgar Mela was simultaneously held at 47 locations across India, reflecting the government’s continued focus on public sector employment and youth empowerment.
