Bokaro: Delhi Public School (DPS) Chas hosted its annual Investiture Ceremony, ‘Pratisthapan’, with great enthusiasm and pride, aiming to encourage leadership, responsibility, and core values among its students.
The Chief Guest of the event, Bokaro Deputy Development Commissioner Shatabdi Majumdar (IAS), addressed the students and emphasized that honesty, dedication, and integrity are the real mantras of success in life. She said that leadership comes with responsibilities, and true leaders always work as a team, help others, and stay committed to their duties. She encouraged students to make the most of their school years, which she described as the best period of one’s life.
The ceremony began with a welcome song, followed by the school anthem and a graceful dance performance based on Ganesh Vandana. The highlight of the event was the oath-taking ceremony, where newly elected student council members pledged to perform their duties with sincerity and to uphold the school’s motto, “Service Before Self.”
DDC Majumdar presented sashes and badges to the new council leaders. Students from classes 9 to 12 were chosen for various leadership roles, including Head Boys, Head Girls, Vice Head Boys and Girls, and Secretaries for Cultural, Literary, and Sports activities.
In her message, Chief Mentor Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan reminded the students that leadership is not about holding a title but about vision, character, and lifting others along the way. She emphasized that the qualities developed through such responsibilities will help them grow as individuals.
School Director and Principal Dr. Manisha Tiwari congratulated the newly elected leaders and said that DPS Chas is committed to developing students not just academically but as well-rounded, responsible individuals. She added that such ceremonies build confidence and prepare students for future challenges.
Suresh Agarwal, Secretary of DS Memorial Society, was also present and conveyed his best wishes to the student council members for a successful and meaningful tenure.
The event concluded with the national anthem, leaving behind a sense of pride and motivation among the students and staff.
