Chandrapura : As part of its ongoing community welfare efforts, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), Chandrapura Thermal Power Station (CTPS), distributed 40 packets of fish seeds (baby fish) free of cost to 24 local fish farmers on Saturday. The seeds were released into nearby ponds and reservoirs to help farmers boost fish production and enhance their income through direct sales.
Local residents praised the initiative, noting that DVC’s support plays a key role in promoting sustainable livelihoods in the region.
In addition to the seed distribution, the CSR department also held a special program to honor participants of the recently held events marking DVC’s 78th Foundation Day. During the event, trophies, souvenirs, chess and carrom sets, footballs, and jerseys for football and kabaddi teams were distributed at DVC High School, CTPS.
The event also recognized the efforts of the Foundation Day judges, and as a gesture of healthcare support, medical kits along with Jan Aushadhi medicines were handed over to the school.
These activities reflect DVC’s commitment to community engagement, education, and health as part of its larger CSR vision.
