Bokaro: The Bokaro unit of Sakhi Bahinpa Maithilani Group brought Sector 4 City Centre alive on Tuesday afternoon with a vibrant celebration of Madhushravani Utsav cum Sakhi Diwas. The event, marked by rich cultural traditions, music, dance, and games, drew enthusiastic participation from community members.
Led by unit president Amita Jha and general secretary Usha Jha, the celebration was a collaborative effort by key members including cultural in-charge Jayanti Pathak, treasurer Sujata Jha, media in-charge Sanjita Bhuvanesh, and senior member Rekha Jha.
The festivities began with the ceremonial lamp-lighting by dignitaries Indira Jha, Amita Jha, Kiran Mishra, Leela Jha, and Manju Kumar. A soulful rendition of the devotional Bhagwati Vandana “Jai Jai Bhairavi,” penned by the great poet Vidyapati, set a spiritual tone. Jaya mesmerized the audience with a graceful dance performance on the same.
Musical highlights included devotional and traditional songs like “Baba Vaidyanath hum aayil chhi bhikhariya…” by Kiran Jha and team, “Door dekhal sakhi bad tripurari…” by Poonam Jha, and a soothing Kajri performance, “Hare Rama Bhado rain andhiyari…” by a group of members.
