Bokaro: With the tricolour soaring high and patriotic songs filling the air, ESL Steel Ltd., Bokaro, commemorated the 79th Independence Day with pride, unity, and a renewed resolve to contribute to India’s growth story.
More than 150 employees, guests, and community members gathered at the company’s plant premises for the grand occasion. Senior leadership—including Deputy CEO & Director Ravish Sharma, CFO Anand Dubey, Deputy CSO Abhishek Kumar, Deputy Director–DIP Sanjeev Tiwari, Deputy CCO Anand Vijeta, and Head–CSR Kunal Daripa—joined the celebrations, which began with a ceremonial parade and the escorting of Sharma to the venue by the security contingent.
The national flag was unfurled by Sharma to the stirring strains of the national anthem, evoking pride and emotion among those present. Addressing the gathering, Sharma reflected on ESL’s journey as a “one family” organisation, highlighting the dedication and passion of its people as the company’s true strength. He paid tribute to Shibu Soren on the occasion of his Dashami and reaffirmed ESL’s commitment to sustainable steel manufacturing, community upliftment, and environmental stewardship.
He called on employees to aim higher, work harder, and see their contributions as part of the larger mission of building a stronger Bharat. Stressing discipline, teamwork, innovation, and safety, Sharma urged the workforce to take pride in ESL’s initiatives in skill development, women’s empowerment, education, and environmental care—pillars that, he said, would help shape an Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.
The event also recognised individuals whose outstanding contributions had significantly impacted the company’s operations and community outreach over the past year. The cultural programme, featuring patriotic songs and performances by employees and their families, added vibrancy and warmth to the celebration.
The day concluded on a note of harmony and togetherness, with the distribution of traditional sweets. More than just a commemoration of 79 years of India’s independence, the event stood as a reaffirmation of ESL Steel Ltd.’s united vision for excellence, sustainable growth, and active nation building.
