Bokaro: A wave of excitement swept through Madunia village as ESL Steel Ltd. inaugurated its much-awaited Digital Café under the CSR education initiative – Vedanta AAS Vidyalaya (VAASV).

The newly launched facility is designed to open doors of opportunity for rural students by bringing modern digital learning and online resources right to their doorstep. Serving as a digital hub, the café will cater to students of Classes 6 to 10 across JAC and CBSE boards, providing access to e-learning modules, interactive tools, and modern pedagogy — a first-of-its-kind initiative for the village.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of villagers, educators, and community leaders, creating an atmosphere charged with hope and ambition.

Among the dignitaries present were Mukhiya Pradip Turi, Deputy Director (Iron & Power) Anup Nagi, CSR Head Kunal Daripa, Principal Suresh Jha, social worker Sanjay Kumar, and members of the school management committee.

Addressing the gathering, Mukhiya Pradip Turi hailed the café as “a milestone for the local community.” Anup Nagi inspired the children to “dream bigger, learn smarter” while assuring them of the company’s continued support. Social activist Sanjay Kumar advised students to use the platform responsibly, and CSR Head Kunal Daripa reaffirmed Vedanta’s vision of empowering rural children by preparing them to become future-ready learners.

The Digital Café is part of Project VAASV, ESL Steel’s flagship education program aimed at bridging learning gaps for rural schoolchildren, school dropouts, and NIOS students. By blending digital technology with community participation, the initiative strives to create equal opportunities and nurture a new generation of educated, tech-savvy youth.

Sharing his excitement, Ghanshyam, a student from Madunia, said: “This Digital Café is more than a facility — it’s a gateway to the future.”
