Ranchi: BJP State President and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has extended support to the ongoing campaign for the expansion of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) by writing a postcard to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The move came after Kumar Amit, BJP State Working Committee member, met Marandi in Ranchi on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum seeking the immediate launch of the proposed BSL expansion project and the upgradation of Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) into a super-speciality facility.
Amit also briefed Marandi on the mega signature campaign underway in Bokaro. Responding positively, Marandi assured that he would take high-level initiatives to accelerate Jharkhand’s development, particularly in Bokaro, and push for early implementation of the project, which is expected to generate large-scale employment opportunities.
Thanking the State BJP chief for his support, Amit expressed confidence that Marandi’s intervention would help clear hurdles and revive hopes for the long-pending expansion.
