From Israel–Iran to India–Pakistan, Trump lists six conflicts he claims to have settled, now eyes Ukraine as his next “peace deal.”
Hours before meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House on Monday, US President Donald Trump made a sensational claim: he has ended six different wars in just six months of his second term.
“I’ve settled six wars in six months, one of them a possible nuclear disaster… Despite my jealous critics, I’ll get it done — I always do!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social, presenting himself as a global mediator and even hinting at Nobel Peace Prize aspirations.
Trump, who is now seeking to arrange direct talks between Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin, has consistently highlighted what he calls his “peace track record.”
The Six Wars Trump Claims to Have Ended
-
Israel–Iran (June 2025) – A 12-day conflict involving Israeli strikes and US bunker-buster raids on Iranian sites, followed by a fragile ceasefire.
-
Democratic Republic of Congo–Rwanda (June 2025) – A Washington-brokered peace deal signed at the White House, though fresh clashes were reported soon after.
-
Cambodia–Thailand (July 2025) – A five-day border war resolved after Trump personally called both leaders and pressured them into signing a truce in Malaysia.
-
India–Pakistan (May 2025) – Trump announced a ceasefire after cross-border clashes over the April Pahalgam terror attack, though New Delhi rejected claims of US mediation.
-
Armenia–Azerbaijan (August 2025) – A White House deal that Russia and Iran opposed, fearing a shift in regional influence; violence remains a risk.
-
Serbia–Kosovo (First Term, 2020) – Trump cites the Washington Agreement on economic cooperation as a conflict he “ended,” though the core political dispute lingers.
Trump also continues to count his earlier mediation in the Egypt–Ethiopia Nile dam dispute as part of his peace record, despite no final settlement.

While critics argue many of these conflicts remain unresolved, Trump has leveraged each ceasefire or truce as proof of his unique ability to cut deals where others failed. “If you look at the six deals that I settled this year, they were all at war. I didn’t do any ceasefires,” he insisted during his Oval Office exchange with Zelenskyy.
Analysts note that many of the so-called settlements are tenuous, with border skirmishes continuing in some regions. Yet Trump has cast himself as the only leader capable of enforcing peace—and now seeks to make Ukraine his seventh success story.
