Gaya: Dr. Veena Pathak has been installed as the new President of the Inner Wheel Club of Bodh Gaya for 2025-26, setting her focus on elderly care, cervical cancer prevention, and child development as the club’s key priorities.
At the grand installation ceremony on Sunday, outgoing president Poonam Gupta formally handed over the charge by presenting the collar and charter. Dr. Pathak also announced her new team comprising Vice President Sushma Prasad, Secretary Dr. Archana Kumari, Treasurer Gopa Sinha, ISO Reena Prasad, and Editor Khushboo.
Chief Guest and former Magadh University Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Kumari, lauded the club’s goals as “commendable initiatives for social good.”
On the occasion, new members including Dr. Priyanka Kumari, Sarita Sinha, Anuradha Kumari, and Sarita Srivastava joined the club. Representatives from sister clubs — Inner Wheel Club of Gaya City and Gaya Ojasvi — also attended, along with founding members led by Charter President Sarita Verma.
The event also saw senior journalist and litterateur Dr. Amarnath Pathak being felicitated as the “First Gentleman” of the club.
