Reform, Perform, Transform: India Can Lift World Out of Slow Growth, Says PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday declared that India, powered by the mantra of “Reform, Perform, Transform”, is poised to lift the world out of its current phase of slow growth.

Speaking at the World Leaders Forum in New Delhi, the Prime Minister said India is on track to soon become the third-largest economy and is working with full force to transform itself into a developed nation by 2047.

Unveiling an ambitious reform roadmap, PM Modi announced that the next-generation GST revamp—aimed at simplifying the tax structure and lowering prices—will be completed before Diwali. He added that a fresh wave of sweeping reforms covering taxation, ports, mining, shipping and governance will soon follow, boosting manufacturing, jobs, demand, and Ease of Doing Business.

Calling upon the private sector to scale up investments in clean energy, quantum technology, battery storage, advanced materials and biotechnology, Mr. Modi said such efforts would strengthen India’s resolve for a self-reliant and developed future.

Highlighting strong fundamentals, he noted that banks are healthier than ever, inflation is low, interest rates stable, forex reserves robust, and millions of Indians are investing steadily through mutual fund SIPs. “Indian companies are raising record funds from the markets, the current account deficit is under control, and domestic investors are driving resilience,” he said.

Citing India’s indigenous 5G development and progress on Made-in-India 6G, Mr. Modi underlined the country’s growing technological self-reliance. He urged citizens and industry alike to embrace the three guiding parameters of a self-reliant India—speed, scale and scope.

With energy, exports and innovation surging, the Prime Minister asserted that India’s rise is not just national but global in consequence: “Guided by reform, perform and transform, India will not only secure its own future but also help lift the world economy from stagnation.”
