New Delhi: The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has been awarded the prestigious SCOPE Eminence Award 2022-23 for excellence in Research & Development, Technology Development and Innovation.
President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the award at a ceremony organized by SCOPE in New Delhi. Manish Raj Gupta, Director (Technical, Projects & Raw Materials), received the honour on behalf of SAIL.
Aligned with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India vision, SAIL is driving indigenous development of advanced steel grades, cutting-edge technologies, and next-gen solutions like IIoT-based Health Monitoring and Coil Yard Management Systems. The company is also emphasizing sustainability through waste reuse, circular economy practices, and renewable energy integration.
CMD Amarendu Prakash hailed the recognition, stating, “This award reflects our R&D team’s pursuit of excellence and strengthens SAIL’s resolve to build a future-ready steel industry for India and the world.”
