Sex Toys, Fake Docs Seized from Self-Styled Godman Chaitanyananda

New Delhi: The scandal surrounding self-styled godman Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati has taken a darker turn, with Delhi Police recovering a sex toy, at least five CDs allegedly containing obscene videos, and fake documents during a raid at his Vasant Kunj ashram.

Officials revealed that the 62-year-old, whose real name is Parthasarathy and who hails from Odisha, appeared to have a disturbing fixation on sexual paraphernalia. The recovered CDs, now under forensic examination, reportedly point to his compulsive sexual behaviour.

In a shocking twist, police also seized three doctored photographs showing Chaitanyananda with former US President Barack Obama, PM Narendra Modi, and a UK politician, likely used to impress and manipulate devotees. Investigators also found bogus visiting cards claiming he was a “permanent ambassador” to the UN Economic and Social Council and a “special envoy” to BRICS.

Earlier, NDTV had exposed the godman’s lewd text messages to female students, including messages calling a student “sweetie baby daughter doll” and repeatedly addressing her as “baby.” In some messages, he pressured them sexually, and in one of the most alarming revelations, he suggested providing a “sex partner” for a Dubai Sheikh, hinting at possible links to sex trafficking.

Chaitanyananda is accused of sexually assaulting at least 17 women. Harassment cases were filed against him in August, after which he evaded police for nearly two months, until he was arrested from a hotel in Agra on Sunday. Police confirmed he checked in on September 27 and stayed confined in his room to avoid detection.

He has now been sent to five days’ police custody as authorities continue to trace his assets and investigate his alleged criminal network.
