Washington D.C.: US President Donald Trump on Friday gave Hamas a final deadline to accept his Gaza peace proposal, warning that rejection or inaction would trigger “all hell like no one has ever seen before.” The ultimatum, shared via Truth Social, sets the deadline at 6 p.m. Sunday (Washington time).
Trump reiterated that Israel and several Middle Eastern nations have signed on to the 20-point plan aimed at ending the Gaza conflict. He also claimed that most remaining Hamas fighters are surrounded and could be swiftly neutralized if the proposal is rejected.
Calling it the “last chance,” Trump stressed that the offer provides the only path for Hamas to avoid further devastation, linking compliance to regional peace. Analysts note Hamas has not formally accepted the plan, and questions remain about its feasibility and enforcement.
Pakistan Rejects Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan Amid Domestic Backlash
Pakistan on Friday officially distanced itself from U.S. President Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace proposal, saying the version unveiled in Washington does not reflect the draft previously discussed with Muslim-majority countries.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar told parliament that the publicly released plan included significant changes and “is not ours,” emphasizing Pakistan’s continued support for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital.
The clarification follows intense domestic criticism after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif initially welcomed the plan, prompting accusations from politicians, analysts, and activists that Islamabad was undermining Palestinian rights. Critics described the plan as skewed toward Israeli interests and lacking a clear pathway to Palestinian statehood.
Dar stressed that Pakistan remains engaged in diplomatic efforts with other Muslim nations to push for a ceasefire, humanitarian access, and an eventual Palestinian state, underscoring the country’s longstanding commitment to the Palestinian cause.
