
Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group enterprise, marked the 77th Republic Day with vibrant celebrations at its Siyaljori Plant in Bokaro, Jharkhand. The premises were transformed with the national colours, creating an atmosphere of pride, unity, and national spirit.
The ceremony opened with an impressive parade by the company’s Security Department, reflecting discipline and teamwork. The main highlight was the hoisting of the National Flag by Ravish Sharma, Deputy CEO and Whole-Time Director of ESL Steel Limited.
To recognise dedication and excellence, the company honoured employees and business partners who made significant contributions to organisational growth. Around 15 employees were awarded for exceptional performance in key areas including safety standards, workplace housekeeping, 5S practices, and internal construction initiatives.
The celebrations were attended by senior officials, staff members and their families, shop-floor workers, security teams, business associates, local residents, and public representatives. The strong turnout demonstrated ESL Steel’s deep connection with its workforce and neighbouring communities.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said that industries play a vital role in nation-building beyond manufacturing alone. He added that ESL Steel remains committed to community development, job creation, and strengthening self-reliance.
He also commended the security team for their discipline and dedication, which ensured the event was conducted with dignity and order.
The Republic Day celebration once again highlighted ESL Steel’s pledge towards inclusive progress, community engagement, and a united, resilient India.
