Maithili play book ‘Tik Rakhanihar Baba’ by Aman Kumar Jha released
Bokaro: Sahityalok, a literary organisation marked its 34th Foundation Day with a grand literary celebration at the Vidyapati Auditorium of Mithila Academy Public School on Sunday. The programme was jointly organised by Sahityalok and the Mithila Cultural Council.
The cultural evening began with a devotional Saraswati Vandana by Umesh Kumar Jha, followed by a classical presentation of “Jai Jai Bhairavi” by young vocalist Anchal Pathak, accompanied on tabla by Harshit Jha.
The centrepiece of the event was the release of the Maithili drama book ‘Tik Rakhanihar Baba’ authored by Sahityalok convenor Aman Kumar Jha. Poet Shailja Jha presented a critical review, while Dr Chaubey described the play as a powerful tribute to fading traditions and the wisdom of elders. DEO Lohra praised Sahityalok for its sustained contribution to the growth of literature in Bokaro.
Mithila Academy chairman Rajendra Kumar said Sahityalok has evolved into a key literary platform where writers of all languages are encouraged to present their work and receive constructive feedback.
Poetry Session Enthralls Audience
The second session featured a lively poetry conclave, chaired by senior poet Sukhnandan Singh ‘Saday’ and conducted by Sunil Mohan Thakur. Poets including Arun Pathak, Karuna Kalika, Neelam Jha, Bhutkun Jha, Rajiv Kanth, Kalpana Jha, Sunil Mohan Thakur, Randhir Chandra Goswami, Aman Kumar Jha, Ashutosh Kumar, Vijay Shankar Mallik, Buddhinath Jha and Sukhnandan Singh ‘Saday’ mesmerised the audience with their recitations.
Remembering Sahityalok’s founders and long-time contributors, Aman Kumar Jha paid tribute to the pioneers who built the organisation into a respected literary forum.The event drew a large gathering of writers, artists, and literature enthusiasts from across Bokaro, reaffirming Sahityalok’s enduring role in promoting literary culture in the region. Among those present were Vijay Kumar Jha, K. C. Jha, A. K. Mishra, Avinash Avi, Dr. U. C. Jha, Vinay Darihare, Sudeep Kumar Thakur, Amarnath Jha, Mamta Jha, Shailendra Mishra, Rishikesh Chaudhary, Ashok Jha, and others.
