India Crush Pakistan by 61 Runs in T20 World Cup 2026 Clash in Colombo

Colombo: India delivered a commanding all-round performance to defeat Pakistan by 61 runs in a high-voltage T20 World Cup clash, riding on Ishan Kishan’s explosive half-century and a disciplined bowling display led by Jasprit Bumrah.

After being put in to bat, India posted a competitive 175/7, thanks largely to Kishan’s blistering 77 off just 40 balls. The left-hander set the tone early, racing to his fifty in only 27 deliveries and putting Pakistan’s bowlers under sustained pressure with a flurry of boundaries. His aggressive strokeplay anchored the innings at a time when India needed momentum in the middle overs.

Pakistan’s chase never truly took off. The Bumrah-led Indian pace attack struck early and often, reducing their arch-rivals to a precarious 38/4 by the end of the powerplay. From there, India maintained a vice-like grip on the contest, combining tight lines with sharp fielding to choke Pakistan’s scoring options.

Despite brief resistance from the lower order, Pakistan were eventually bundled out for just 114, falling well short of the target. The comprehensive victory underlined India’s bowling depth and big-match temperament.

With this emphatic win in Colombo, India strengthened their position in the tournament while extending their psychological edge over Pakistan in global T20 encounters.
