Bokaro: The Mithila Mahila Samiti, the women’s wing of the esteemed Mithila Cultural Council, celebrated a vibrant ‘Holi Milan’ celebrations at Daffodils, City Park, spreading festive cheer and cultural warmth.
The programme, led by Samiti President Poonam Mishra and Secretary Abha Jha, came alive with traditional Maithili and devotional Holi songs. Members enthralled the gathering with spirited renditions of popular numbers such as “Mithila Ram Khelathi Holi…”, “Aaju Brij Me Holi Re Rasiya…”, “Gauri Ke Dulha Holi Khele Chhai Masane Me…” and “Holi Kanak Bhavan Khelathi Siya Raghuveer…”.
The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation as members exchanged abir-gulal, extended warm Holi greetings, and strengthened bonds of community and culture.
Among those present were Kiran Mishra, Amita Jha, Sheela Mishra, Dr. Manju Jha, Nanda Jha, Beena Jha, Namita Jha, Beenu Chaudhary, Chanda Jha, Leela Jha, Alka Jha, Seema Jha, Ruby Thakur, Poonam Jha, Prerna Ojha, Vinita Rai, Preeti Priya, Asha Pathak, Ranjana Bhagat, Ritu Mishra, Kiran Jha and several other members.
The event concluded on a joyful note, reflecting the Samiti’s continued commitment to preserving Mithila’s rich cultural traditions.
