Bokaro: The Mithila Sanskritik Parishad, representing the Mithila–Maithili community in Bokaro, will organise a grand Holi Milan and Phagun Festival on March 2 at 6:30 pm on the premises of Mithila Academy Public School.
The decision was taken unanimously at the Parishad’s executive meeting held late Tuesday evening at the Vidyapati Auditorium of Mithila Academy. The cultural evening will feature traditional Phagun songs, group singing and live musical performances.
The meeting, chaired by Board of Directors Convenor Rajendra Kumar, constituted a five-member committee to ensure smooth conduct of the programme. Under the leadership of Vice President Samarendra Jha, the committee includes Finance Secretary Mihir Mohan Thakur, S.K. Jha, Avinash Jha ‘Avi’, Tarun Jha and Vijay Kumar Mishra ‘Anju’.
Among those present at the meeting were Board members Krishna Chandra Jha and Vijay Kumar Jha, General Secretary Neeraj Chaudhary, School Secretary Dilip Kumar Jha, Cultural Programme Director Arun Pathak, and several other council members.
Organisers said the event aims to strengthen cultural bonding and celebrate the traditional spirit of Phagun among the Mithila community in Bokaro.
