Trump Declares “Victory” in Iran War, Says ‘Nothing Left to Target’

Washington, D.C.: US President Donald Trump has declared that the United States has effectively won the war against Iran, claiming that the military campaign has crippled Tehran’s strategic capabilities and left “practically nothing left to target.”

Speaking at a public event while referring to the US military offensive titled “Operation Epic Fury,” Trump said the outcome of the conflict was decided almost immediately after the strikes began.

“You never like to say too early that you’ve won. But we won. It was over in the first hour,” he said, asserting that the coordinated US-Israel assault delivered a decisive blow to Iran’s military infrastructure.

Trump also revealed that several names were suggested for the operation before he chose “Epic Fury,” joking that the name only works if the mission ends in victory.

US Forces to Remain in the Region

Despite declaring victory, Trump indicated that American forces would continue operations in the region to ensure that Iran cannot rebuild its military capabilities.

The conflict began nearly two weeks ago when the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, triggering retaliatory attacks from Tehran and raising fears of a wider regional confrontation.

Although Washington claims the strikes have significantly weakened Iran’s strategic capacity, hostilities between the two sides have continued, keeping West Asia on edge.

Cargo Ship Hit in Strait of Hormuz

Amid rising tensions in the Gulf, a Thai-flagged cargo vessel, Mayuree Naree, was struck by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global shipping route.

The vessel, which had recently departed Khalifa Port in the United Arab Emirates and was reportedly bound for India, caught fire after the impact.

There were 23 crew members on board at the time of the incident. Authorities confirmed that 20 sailors were rescued by the Royal Navy of Oman and taken safely to shore in Khasab, while three crew members remain unaccounted for as rescue efforts continue.

Gulf Shipping Under Growing Threat

The attack highlights the growing risks to commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow but crucial waterway through which a large portion of the world’s oil supply passes.

With military tensions escalating between Iran and the US-Israel alliance, security concerns across the Gulf region remain high, and global energy markets are closely watching the developments.
