JMM Chief Shibu Soren Hospitalised in Delhi; Condition Stable

New Delhi/Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder and former Chief Minister Shibu Soren has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi following a deterioration in his health. Sources confirm that the 81-year-old leader has been under medical care for the past three days, with his condition currently reported as stable.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren rushed to Delhi on Tuesday to be with his ailing father. Speaking to reporters outside the hospital, he said that Shibu Soren had been unwell for several days, prompting his visit to personally assess his health status.

“This is not just a routine check-up—he has been admitted for treatment,” sources at the hospital revealed, while refraining from disclosing further medical details.

Health Minister Irfan Ansari also expressed concern over the veteran leader’s condition, posting a message on social media wishing him a speedy recovery: “Received the news of respected Baba’s illness. He is undergoing treatment in Delhi. Praying to God for his quick recovery.”

Shibu Soren, a towering figure in Jharkhand politics for nearly four decades, remains a key influence in the state’s political landscape.
