Bokaro: Delhi Public School (DPS), Chas, Bokaro conducted a comprehensive orientation program for parents and guardians, aimed at fostering strong collaboration between home and school. The session focused on child-centered pedagogy, holistic development, value-based education, co-curricular initiatives, and the school’s core vision.
Renowned counseling psychologist Saloni Priya was the chief speaker. Drawing from over two decades of experience in education and parent counseling, she urged parents to empathize with their children, understand their emotions, and build meaningful connections through small, thoughtful gestures. She emphasized the importance of a nurturing home environment and tailoring parenting approaches to each child’s personality.
Chief Mentor Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan highlighted the program’s value in addressing parental concerns and promoting transparency in school functioning, while Dr. Manisha Tiwari, Director/Principal of the school, underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in a child’s overall growth—academic, emotional, and social.
Suresh Agarwal, Secretary of DS Memorial Society, also graced the occasion and appreciated the school’s commitment to engaging parents in the educational journey.
