Sanskrit Bharati Organizes Quiz to Spark Interest in Sanskrit Among Youth

Bokaro: To promote India’s ancient language and cultural heritage, Sanskrit Bharati, an international organization, successfully organized a district-level inter-school Sanskrit quiz competition at Mithila Academy Public School, Sector 4E, Bokaro. The event was held in the school’s Vidyapati Auditorium and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and educators alike.

The program began with Mangalacharan and ceremonial lamp lighting. The competition aimed to ignite a passion for Devvani Sanskrit and Indian tradition among the younger generation.

Chief Guest S.K. Sharma, former Principal of City College, emphasized the importance of Sanskrit in education, stating, “Without literature and music, life becomes lifeless. Sanskrit is essential for holistic development.”
Special Guest Sanjay Kumar Jha, former Principal of High School, Tand Balidih, echoed this sentiment, stressing that preserving culture requires actively promoting Sanskrit.

A total of 26 student teams took part in the event — 14 from classes 5 to 8 (adolescent category) and 12 from classes 9 to 12 (youth category), displaying sharp intellect and deep interest in the language.

The quiz was judged by esteemed scholars: Dr. Harishchandra Jha, Dr. Vinay Kumar Pandey, and Ranjan Pandey (adolescent group) and Dr. Shashikant Pandey and Rajendra Upadhyay (youth group).
The program was coordinated by Atmanand Singh, and the stage was conducted by Dr. Shashikant Pandey.

The event saw active participation and support from Sanskrit Bharati President Dr. Ramnarayan Singh, Minister Dr. Uday Kumar Jha, Dhanbad Department Coordinator Vinay Kumar Pandey, and several others including Udit Pandey, Jai Prakash Singh, Sulochana Sahu, Kumar Gaurav, Devnath Mishra, Arun Pathak, Vinita Priyadarshini, Subal Prasad Jha, and Babita Jha.

The program concluded on a high note with a call to continue nurturing Sanskrit among students for preserving India’s civilizational roots.
