Women Celebrate ‘Sawan Mahotsav’ with Grandeur and Grace
Bokaro: In a dazzling display of tradition, unity, and celebration, the women of Snehi (Teli) Samaj, Bokaro, marked Sawan Mahotsav with vibrant colors, spirited performances, and infectious enthusiasm. The grand celebration, held at Chira Chas, became a heartfelt tribute to womanhood, cultural roots, and community bonding.
The event was spearheaded by Renu Sah, President of the Snehi Samaj Mahila Prakoshtha (Women’s Wing), who curated a lively cultural showcase featuring traditional songs, folk dances, and fun-filled games that brought together women of all ages in festive spirit.
The event was graced by Sunita Devi, President of the Zila Parishad, as the chief guest, along with noted social worker Sanju Devi. Both jointly inaugurated the program by lighting the ceremonial lamp, marking the formal beginning of the celebration.
Addressing the gathering, Sunita Devi emphasized that Sawan Mahotsav, traditionally celebrated during the monsoon month, is not merely a seasonal festivity but a powerful expression of joy, renewal, and feminine energy. She lauded the Snehi Samaj Women’s Wing for preserving cultural heritage while promoting leadership among women.
“Such celebrations are a reminder that culture and community go hand in hand. It’s heartening to see women take center stage in preserving traditions while building social solidarity,” the chief guest remarked.
The atmosphere brimmed with joy as participants embraced the monsoon spirit through music, dance, laughter, and fellowship. A community feast followed the cultural performances, where attendees shared a variety of traditional delicacies, turning the occasion into a warm and memorable celebration of togetherness.
Key office bearers of the Snehi Samaj — President D.K. Sah, General Secretary Dharmendra Kumar, and Treasurer Santosh Kumar Sah — played instrumental roles in organizing and coordinating the event, ensuring its grand success.
