49 Years On, Mukesh’s Timeless Songs Reverberate in Tribute Event
Bokaro: Music lovers in Bokaro came together on Wednesday evening to remember legendary playback singer Mukesh on his 49th death anniversary. A soulful musical evening was organized in Sector 12 under the banner of Swaragini Musical Group, in association with Raman Choudhary and Ragini Sinha Ambashtha.
The program began with artists offering floral tributes before a portrait of the late singer. The evening then resonated with Mukesh’s timeless melodies, bringing alive the voice that once defined an era of Indian cinema.
Renowned singer Arun Pathak recalled, “Mukesh ji, one of the three great playback voices of Hindi cinema, continues to rule hearts even today. While he sang across genres, he remains unmatched as the king of soulful and sad songs.”
Echoing the sentiment, Raman Choudhary praised Mukesh’s melodious style, while Somesh Mishra described him as “a singer loved by all, whose voice still touches the deepest corners of the heart.”
The evening ended with heartfelt applause, proving that even decades later, Mukesh’s songs remain immortal.
